My Approach
I don’t really start with content—I start with curiosity.
Every post, campaign, or moment has a “why” behind it, and I’ve never been great at leaving that question unanswered. If something grabs attention, I want to know why. If something doesn’t, I want to understand that too.
That same curiosity I had growing up—always asking “why?” and “why not?”—is still how I approach my work today. It just has better tools now.
It All Starts with a Question
Why would someone care about this?
Why would they stop scrolling?
Why would they come back?
I’ve found that the best content usually lives somewhere inside those questions.
Whether it’s a sports moment, a nonprofit story, or a seemingly simple social post, I try to get to the heart of what makes it matter—not just what happened.
Searching for the Story
Stories are all around us—you just have to look in the right places.
They live in the in-between moments, the ones that don’t always announce themselves. I try to find those.
Different Platforms, Different Posts
I’ve learned that people don’t just consume content differently—they experience it differently depending on the space they’re in.
Something that works in one place might need to be reshaped entirely in another, not because the story changes, but because the way people receive it does. So I try to stay aware of that and let the platform guide how the story is told.
